Five Ashes 300 Club

The ‘300 club’ is run to support the village hall, the income generated is specifically for the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the village hall. 

The running of the 300 club is vested in four members of the Village Hall Committee, all volunteers, who report back to the main committee on a regular basis to ensure probity of the activity. The account sits outside the village hall accounts so it can be identified separately and for ease of reconciliation. In 2023 as well as paying out £1,650 in prize money the club made a payment of £1,000 to the hall committee.

A great opportunity for you to support the village hall and a chance to win one of the five £20 prizes each month from February to November or one of the bigger prizes in December. (With the current membership we have 2 x £100, 3 x £50 and 10 x £20 in December.) The annual subscription per number is £10 (less than £1 per month) with at least 50% of the income returned as prize money.

 

When you become a member you will be allocated a number (or numbers) which will be included in all the prize draws for the current year. Prize draws take place in the Five Ashes Inn on the first Monday of each month, starting in February. There is no limit to how many numbers you have as long as the annual subscriptions are paid. If we can increase the membership numbers we may be able to offer more prizes and increase the income for the village hall. Payment may be made by setting up a standing order mandate or by cheque/cash.
